Ulises Hadjis shines with the release of “PAVIMENTO”

MIAMI: Ulises Hadjis finished his Miami promo tour during the release week of his album “Pavimento”, appearing on influential international media such as CNN en Español, Fusion, Univision, among others. The third album by the three-time Latin GRAMMY nominee is already garnering excellent reviews and critical acclaim by both media and public alike. The LP, produced by multiple GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winner Andres Levin (Miguel Bosé, David Byrne, Marisa Monte, Ely Guerra, John Legend) includes 13 new songs and features collaborations with Chilean artist Gepe and Colombian singer-songwriters Juan Pablo Vega and Esteman. The album cover and artwork were created by renowned Venezuelan visual artist Juan Pablo Garza.

«Pavimento» was included as one of iTunes’ featured albums of the week.

On Thursday May 28th, during his Miami promo tour, Ulises performed a special set with strings at Pérez Art Museum, presenting “Pavimento” to exclusive guests that included media, industry and fans.

Ulises is currently promoting the album in Mexico City and will perform in Bajo Circuito on June 10th, continuing with activities in various countries, including a clinic and performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston on June 22nd, a performance on Subrosa in New York on June 25th as part of the Blue Note Jazz Festival, a showcase at Circulart in Medellin on July 4th and a tour in Ecuador.

Ulises Hadjis was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela in 1982 and currently resides in Mexico City. In his early years, his stepfather showed him music from The Beatles and other bands, influences that would eventually take part in his musical development. After performing for various bands, he released his first solo effort in 2008, titled “Presente”, rated 4 stars by Rolling Stone Latin America. He also garnered three Latin GRAMMY nominations with his second LP “Cosas Perdidas”. Ulises has performed live on various international stages, including Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Argentina, United States and Peru, among others. He has also been a special guest of artists that range from Julieta Venegas and Fonseca to Kevin Johansen and Natalia Lafourcade. Ulises has also followed his passion for knowledge, completing a college degree in Sociology, followed by a Master’s Degree in Philosophy from Universidad de Zulia in Venezuela.
