Acción por la Libertad is an organization committed to freedom and democracy in Venezuela, whose objective is to promote Human Rights, and to document and report violations against fundamental rights: freedom of expression, personal freedom, freedom of opinion and freedom of association. Acción por la Libertad reports arbitrary detentions, torture and other cruel, inhuman and/or degrading treatments or sentences to citizens who have been illegally deprived of their freedom, and to victims of political persecution and political exile. This project was born after the persecusion and arbitrary detentions of political dissidents and students imposed by the Venezuelan government upon its citizens since the protests that started in  February 2014.

It is important to mention that some of the artists participating in the auction have been victims of violations of their right of freedom of expression.

This first art auction in benefit of Acción por la Libertad is possible thanks to the generosity of all the participating artists and Henrique Faria Fine Art.

The auction will also be live on www.paddle8.com from May 18th until June 1st, 2015.
